For me, music photography is about capturing the raw energy and emotion that makes live music unforgettable. My photos aren’t just snapshots; they’re a way to relive the energy and excitement of the gig, capturing the unique atmosphere of each show long after it is over.

Hi, I’m Matt
A performing arts photographer based in Cromer, covering Norfolk and Suffolk. My background is in technical theatre; with a degree in performance design, and over 15 years experience as a lighting designer and technical manager in the theatre. Performing arts has always been a big part of my life, my son is a performer and I even married a dancer!
My background, experience, and love for the arts, mean I bring a unique perspective to capturing live performance. I know how shows work, I understand what happens backstage as well as on stage, meaning I speak the same language as many of the artists I work with. Performance art is fleeting, that’s the joy of it. My job is to create images that tell the story of the performance; its atmosphere, energy and emotion, so that it can be remembered for years to come.
